Some members have expressed an interest in taking their children or grandchildren angling on the Lower Derwent and River Idle. It has been decided by the Committee that members may take one of their own children/grandchildren angling with them up to the age of sixteen years old.

For safety it is recommended that the child is in full view of the parent/grandparent at all times and preferably fishing downstream of the adult where it is easier to see them whilst angling.

Please note that this does not apply to any other children except your own. This is to protect members and the Club from possible alleged child abuse as recommended by angling bodies.
