3 Taking of Fish See Rules Governing Conduct and Fishing Practices
Any trout caught while coarse fishing must be carefully returned.
4 Mode of Fishing All recognised and accepted methods of trout and coarse fishing during the appropriate seasons. The river holds a few trout and grayling as well as roach, chub, bream and perch. Only Fly fishing is allowed from 18th March to 15th June.
5 Rod Limit No rod limit is in force on this water but please be aware of limited parking on the East Bank.
6 Guests are allowed For details and conditions please see Appendix 6
7 Members’ Children / Grandchildren. A member’s child/grandchild may accompany the member to fish subject to the conditions in Rule 10 - Members’ Children /Grandchildren.
8 Parking West Bank Using the access from North Lane by vehicle following the route shown by the dotted line to the parking area shown on the map. Not more than six cars are permitted to use this parking area at anyone time and must display current Club car windscreen sticker on every visit. Gates must be left as found.
You can also access this bank from the lay by near the road bridge on the Chesterfield link Road and go across the rough field on foot between the lay by and the upstream boundary of Club's water marked with UL in green on the map.
East Bank Fishing is on the frontage of the four fields only (numbered 1 to 4 on map in Club Handbook).
The Club has rented parking along the East bank in the first two fields of our fishing (marked 1 & 2 on the map). To reach these you should take the exit into Ford Lane from the northbound carriageway of the A38 between the river and the railway line. Use the turning area to turn your vehicle and proceed along the track through the club’s padlocked gate and through another gate under the A38. Under no circumstance should members take vehicles past the first two fields.
